Alumina ceramic wafer 4inch purity 99% polycrystalline wear resistant 1mm thickness
Aluminum oxide (Al2O3) offers a combination of excellent material properties and lowest cost. High mechanical strength, hardness, abrasion resistance, refractoriness, thermal conductivity, and chemical inertness allow for substitution of more expensive materials in some cases to reduce production costs. The Al2O3 content varies from 96% to 99.7% and the thickness varies from 0.25 mm. Surfaces can be ground or polished, metallized and in any geometry.
Alumina ceramics have a variety of uses in industry, the following are some of the major industrial applications:
Abrasives and grinding media: Alumina ceramics are commonly used as abrasives and grinding media for grinding and polishing of metals, glass, ceramics and other materials due to their high hardness and good wear resistance.
Chemical reactor: Alumina ceramics can be used as filler or made into reactor lining, used in chemical reactors, especially in high temperature, corrosive environment.
Electronic ceramics: Alumina ceramics are commonly used in the manufacture of electronic components, such as insulators, capacitors, electronic ceramic substrates, etc., due to their insulating properties and high temperature resistance.
Thermal industry: alumina ceramics are commonly used in high-temperature furnaces and kilns, heat insulation, thermal insulation and refractory materials for thermal industrial equipment due to its high temperature resistance and heat conduction properties.
Medical devices: alumina ceramics are also used in the field of medical devices, such as artificial joints, dental repair materials.
